KIND ACT FOR THE DAY

Pour a mug of this chai for your beloved companion, friend, daughter, son, mum, dad, bro, sister, neighbour, or someone you don’t yet know very well. :-)

Cardamom & Ginger Chai

Need some warming up from the inside out?

Make chai!

Add to a saucepan:

10-12 whole cardamom pods squashed with mortar & pestle (admittedly I overdo it)

2 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger

2 cups of water

Then…

1. Simmer for 15mins.

2. Add 3 teaspoons raw sugar (optional)

3. Add 2 tsp. loose leaf tea

4. Immediately add 1 cup non-homogenised milk, or plant milk you prefer*

4. Bring to boil and simmer for 5 mins

5. Optional:

You may like to let sit off the heat for 5 mins for flavours to deepen or just pour into your favourite mug & sip the sweet warming deliciousness. Mmmm

* Adding milk immediately after tea leaves coats the tea and reduces the effects of tannins.

Medicinal Benefits:

CARDAMOM is a digestive and neutralises the mucous-forming property of dairy.

GINGER is known as the universal medicine! Wonderful aid to digestion, treating coughs and colds, poor circulation and motion sickness.
